10 Important Things One Should Know Prior To Filling Out The GATE 2019 Application
IIT Madras, which is the organising institute for the GATE 2019 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering), has opened the website to start the exam process. This national-level postgraduate entrance exam is conducted for an admission to ME/MTech and PhD programmes at IITs, IISc, NITs, GFTIs and other universities in India.
It is an exam conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). New Developments In GATE 2019
The major development in GATE is the introduction of the statistics paper in the exam. Candidates who apply after September 21 should pay INR 500 as the late fee. However, the extended closing date is October 1, 2018.
GATE Eligibility Criteria 2019
Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after BSc/diploma in engineering/technology). There is no age limit and no minimum pass percentage in the qualifying degree for GATE 2019. To know more about the eligibility, click here.
GATE Application Form 2019
IIT Madras will start issuing the GATE 2019 application forms on September 1, 2018. To fill the application form for GATE 2019, candidates have to register through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).
GATE Exam Date 2019
IIT Madras will accept the GATE 2019 application forms between September 1 and 21, 2018. It will be conducting the GATE 2019 exam on February 2, 3, 9 and 10 for 24 papers.
GATE 2019 exam will be conducted for 24 papers (subjects). This is an online computer-based test (CBT). It consists of a single paper that contains 65 questions. The exam duration is 3 hours.
