JEE (Advanced) 2015 results declared; Satvat Jagwani from Madhya Pradesh is the topper
The results for IIT JEE (Advanced) , an entrance exam for admission to coveted technology and engineering institutes, were declared on Wednesday 18th June.
According to the statistics released by IIT-Bombay (which conducted the exams), 26,456 out of the 1,17,238 candidates who appeared in the test qualified for admission to Indian Institute of Technology branches and NITs. Last year, altogether 27, 152 of the 1.36 lakh aspirants made the cut.
Admission to various courses, including B. Tech, B.E and B. Arch in 20 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad will depend on the JEE rank. Of the 20 IITs, four – in Tirupati, Goa, Palakkad and Raipur – will be functional from 2015-16 academic session.
“Only candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each subject in each paper and in aggregate will be included in the rank list. The minimum prescribed marks varies with the category,” the JEE website said. Find the qualifying marks in detail here.

- All India Rank (AIR) and Category Rank of successful candidates will be available on the online portal after the results are declared.
- Individual rank cards will NOT be sent to candidates.
- Obtaining a rank in JEE (Advanced) 2015 does not guarantee admission to IITs or ISM.
Satvat Jagwani of Satna, Madhya Pradesh, emerged as the all-India topper this year. He appeared for the exam from IIT-Kanpur zone and scored 469 out of 504.
