SSC CGL Exam 2018: Scheme of Examinations explained

Combined Graduate Level or CGL Examination is conducted in 4 stages. The Tier 1 and 2 are computer based examinations while Tier 3 is a pen and paper based examination. Tier 4 is a computer proficiency examination. All the examinations are qualifying in nature. That is, candidates who qualify Tier 1 would be eligible for Tier 2, Tier 2 qualified candidates would be eligible for Tier 3 and so on.

Tier I examination is a 60 minute examination of 50 marks. Questions from General Reasoning, General Awareness, English and Mathematics are asked from the candidates. There are a total of 25 questions in each section.

Tier II or Tier 2 examination has 4 sections as well. These sections contain 100 questions and is of 200 marks each. Questions asked in Tier II are from quantitative abilities, English language and comprehension, statistics and general studies. Candidates who qualify Tier 2 have to appear for the descriptive pen and paper Tier 3 examination. The recruitment process usually takes about 6 months to 1 year from the date of the release of notification.

SSC CGL Tier-III Descriptive Type Paper Result: Staff Selection Commission is primed to declare the Results of the Combined Graduate Level Tier-III (Descriptive Paper). Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2018 (Tier-III) is all set to conduct soon in Pen and Paper mode (Descriptive Type Questions). In proceedings to shortlist the Candidates through Descriptive Paper SSC shall declare the Result/ Category wise Cut off Marks/ Skill Test qualified candidates list.
