NTA UGC NET DEC 2018 Date Revised; Check Complete Details Here
The UGC NET which was earlier conducted by CBSE is now being held by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA published a press release on October 22, 2018 that the exam will be held from December 18 to 22 2018 in two shifts.
However, now as per some officials reports, the exam date has been changed. The UGC NET Dec 2018 examination will now be held on 18-22 December 2018.
The National Eligibility Test will be conducted on 18 Dec 2018 (Tuesday), 19 Dec 2018 (Wednesday), 20 Dec 2018 (Thursday), 21 Dec 2018 (Friday), 22 Dec 2018 (Saturday), now UGC NET 2018 will be held in 5 consecutive days. . The UGC NET, which is a national level exam to determine Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian Universities and Colleges will be held in two shifts. The first session will be held from 9:30 AM to 1 PM, and the second shift will be from 2:30 PM to 6 PM. As per the report, the last reporting time for the first shift is 8:30 AM and the last reporting time for the second shift is 1:30 PM.
The admit card of UGC NET 2018 for the registered candidates will be available in online mode from November 19 onwards. In case candidates find any discrepancy in the admit card details, they have to immediately contact the Help Line number between 10 am to 5 pm, from November 19 to 25, 2018. However, the required changes in the admit card with discrepancies would be made by the NTA later and candidates would have to appear in the examination with the already downloaded admit card with discrepancies.
The Registration for UGC NET Dec 2018 will start from September 01, 2018 and the window for submitting the application form will be open for a month. The last date to submit the form is September 30, 2018.

The newly-established National Testing Agency (NTA) is driving a major revamp in the country’s competitive exams system from next year, relying heavily on technological tools like artificial intelligence, psychometric analysis and computer-based adaptive testing, reports The Times Of India.

According to the report, other competitive exams such as Joint Entrance Examination (Main) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) are also set for a major overhaul from next year. The changes include having a unique set of questions for each candidate, with a software picking questions at random, and multiple dates for taking an exam.
UGC NET will be the first exam which will be conducted by NTA. The examinations for all candidates will be conducted in online (computer based) mode only.
Now, that NTA has taken control over major exams which were being conducted by CBSE or AICTE, the result will also be announced soon. Hence, the result for UGC NET Dec 2018 will be announced within one month after conducting the test, i.e. on January 2019. So, now the candidates do not have to wait for a month for the result.
Also, Vineet Joshi, director-general, NTA has said that a country-wide network of test practice centres (TPCs) will be established for the students of the rural areas. This facility will start from September 01, 2019. About 2,697 schools/ engineering colleges with computer centres will be available and the students will be able to use this facility free of charge.

UGC NET Dec 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for NET 2019 students should be familiar with the eligibility criteria. It is mandatory that students should follow the eligibility criteria if fails then their candidature will get cancelled at any stage of the admission process. Educational Qualification
- The candidate must secure at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Masters Degree or equivalent exam from the UGC recognised Universities / Institutes.
- 50 % marks (without rounding off) for OBC belonging to non-creamy layer / SC / ST / PwD candidate.
- Students pursuing Master Degree or those who have appeared for the final exam in qualifying master Degree or waiting for the result can apply for the exam. These students will be admitted provisionally and they will be eligible for JRF / eligibility for Assistant Professor only after qualifying the Master’s Degree r equivalent exam with 50 % marks for OBC (Non-Creamy layer / SC/ ST/ PwD) and 55% for general candidates. They must complete the master degree within the 2 years of declaration of UGC NET 2018 result.
- The transgender candidate is eligible for relaxation in age, fee and qualifying criteria is similar to SC / ST / PwD categories.
- The PhD candidate whose Master level exam was completed by 19th September 1991 will be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.
- Candidate should appear for the NET exam for the subject they have completed their graduation. If the subject is not available in the list then select the paper similar to it.
UGC NET Dec 2018 Application Form
NTA will release the application form for NET 2019 on the official website. Before filling the application form candidate must check the eligibility criteria. The application form will be available in online mode. Students have to fill UGC NET Dec 2018 application form within the prescribed time. The online submission of application will commence from September 01, 2018. The documents to be attached with the application form should be in the prescribed format and size.
The fee for the application is Rs.250/- for SC / ST / PwD / Transgender. The candidate belonging to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) has to pay Rs.500 and Rs.1000/- is for other categories. UGC NET Dec 2018 Exam Pattern
UGC NET Dec 2018 will be conducted in online mode. The paper will be conducted in two sessions first session for the paper I and second session for paper II. UGC NET Dec 2018 How to Prepare
As per the official notification of NAT, the exam will commence on December 2018 and students have few months for the preparation of the exam. Here are tips for the preparation of the exam.
Study Time Table
Students should organize an effective study timetable. Divide the equal time for the preparation of the syllabus. Make a schedule for 10-11 hours of study per day. Create a checklist of the syllabus and their topics to study. Make a single timetable and organize the time for a break.
Practice form Mock Test
As we know that NTA will conduct NET 2019 in online mode, so it is necessary for the candidate to understand the exam environment. It is important that the candidate should be familiar with the computer-based test. For this candidate can take lots of mock tests. Students should try to understand the process of online test which will be beneficial for them on the day of the exam. And it will be useful in the practice or revision of the examination.
Practice Previous Year Question Paper
The preparation of the exam is incomplete without the revision of the topics. And the best way for the revision of the topics is solving the previous question paper. While solving the previous questions the student can over many topics. Students should set the timer for the 2 hours / 1 hours and solve the paper, doing so will help in managing the time and also improve their knowledge of the topics. And they can keep the track of their practice and even find the weaker topics so that they can focus on it.
Time Management
Time Management is the most crucial part of the exam. Time Management require lots of discipline and an effective timetable for preparation. While making revision student should set the timer and try to solve the question within the time. UGC NET Dec 2018 Admit Card
National Testing Agency has not declared the date for NET 2019 Admit Card. It may release the Admit Card few days before the exam. The Admit Card will be issued to those candidates who have submitted their application form with the complete valid information. NTA will not send UGC NET Dec 2018 Admit Card to any candidate personally via any mode. The students have to download the Admit Card within the prescribed date from the official website of NTA.
Admit Card is the permission provided by the NTA to the student for appearing in the exam. Any student without the Admit Card will not be permitted for the exam. So, make sure to download the Admit Card before appearing for the exam. NTA will release the answer key after few days of the commencement of exam. The answer key will release on the official website of NTA. UGC NET Dec 2018 Result
NTA will release the result for UGC NET Dec 2018 on the official website. As per the official notification, the result will release in last week of January 2019. To check the result the students have to provide their enrollment number and date of birth (if required).
