IIM CAT 2018 Cutoff Marks Tentative
CAT Cut off 2018 will most probably be declared in second week of January. CAT 2018 Exam was held on November 25, 2018 and this time the paper was easy and its expected cutoff would increase this time. CAT Cut off percentile for top B-Schools is generally in the range from 80 to 100 for general category candidates. There are chances that 2018 CAT cut off may vary due to new changes in the exam pattern of CAT 2018.
CAT Cutoff 2018 – The cutoff of CAT 2018 refers to the minimum percentile a test taker must obtain in order to qualify for the next round of selection process. Around 10 out of 20 IIMs including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow and IIM Calcutta have already released the CAT cutoff for the academic year 2019-21. Other IIMs and participating institutes are expected to release the CAT 2018 cutoff soon. This year, CAT will be conducted by IIM Calcutta on November 25, 2018, and the CAT 2018 Result will be announced in the second week of January 2019.
CAT cutoff 2018 depends on various factors such as total number of test takers, difficulty level of the exam, total number of seats, etc. Candidates who are planning to appear for CAT 2018 exam must qualify the sectional as well as the overall cutoff in order to get shortlisted for the next rounds of the selection process – WAT-GD/PI. CAT is conducted every year by IIMs on a rotational basis for admission MBA/PGDM course offered by IIMs and 100 other top B-schools in the country. This article brings to you the estimated CAT cutoff 2018 of the 20 IIMs and the other top B-schools.
Candidates have their fingers crossed about the scores this year and they will be shortlisted on the basis of their scores in CAT, and later have to appear in the selection process of PI-WAT/GD rounds of IIMs and other B-schools. To know about CAT cut off for various top B- schools we have made a tentative cut off analyzing the score pattern of last 4 years.
While the top B-schools will have higher range of CAT 2018 cutoffs, 90+ percentile, the mid rung B-schools’ cutoffs range from 75 to 80 percentile and that of the lower rung B-schools is around 50 percentiles. Also to check whether you had given the right answer on CAT 2018 Exam.
Minimum cut-off (overall and section wise cut-offs) for reserved category students is lesser than General category students.
