CBSE CTET 2017 Notification: Now will be Online Test Only.
To improve the quality of teachers in the country, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is going to make major changes in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTT). Under this, the CBSE CTET 2017 will now be held in the online format instead of the written format (pen-paper).
NCTE chief A. Santosh Mathew said that the Council has taken a lot of measures to improve the quality of the teachers of the country. These changes will be made at a large scale in all the seating papers and examinations. He said that first of all, this examination will be changed from pen-paper mode to computer based online. In this regard, discussions have been held with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
This examination is conducted by the CBSE throughout the country. Matthew said that apart from this, the Council is going to make changes in the structure of the examination. Till now, the knowledge and skills of the teachers are examined through the seat, but now it will now be examined by the teacher’s attitude (Attitude). For this, together with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and experts, the ‘ASK’ pattern has been prepared. Matthew says that his attitude in the quality of teachers is most important but he was not tested yet. He said that the theory has been decided in principle.
