The Human Resource Development (HRD) Group of COUNCIL OF SCIENTIFIC AND INDUSTRIAL
RESEARCH (CSIR), New Delhi, provides opportunities to bright young men and women in the form of
direct Senior Research Fellowships (SRFs) and Research Associateships (RAs) for training in
methods of research under the expert guidance of faculty members/scientists working in universities,
laboratories and institutes of Government Departments and recognised laboratories of industry in
various fields of science and technology. Check out all of the details on the same below:
Inviting SRF/RA Online Applications, Year 2018
Preference will be given to the research subjects applicable to R&D programs of CSIR Laboratories, in The emerging areas of science and at the regions of significance for growth of technological and scientific capacity of the nation. The Fellowships/ Associateships are tenable in all the universities and termed universities/IITs/postgraduate colleges/government research institutions such as those of CSIR, R&D institutions of recognised public sector, industrial companies and other recognised institutions. Just bonafide Indian citizens are entitled to the award. The award is for fixed tenure and doesn’t imply any guarantee or assurance for following employment by CSIR to the beneficiary. CSIR reserves the right to ascertain the area in India best suited to provide essential facilities in the fields of science where the awardee is to concentrate. Selected Fellows and Associates will need to devote their whole time to the research programmes that are approved. Fellows and Associates aren’t allowed to take any other remunerative jobs/assignments throughout their tenure.
1 . SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
MSc/BE/B. Tech or equivalent degree with 55% marks and a single publication in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal and should have finished at least two years of post MSc/BE/B. Tech research expertise according to the last date of application, as evidenced by fellowship/ associateship or by date of enrollment for Ph.D. OR
M.Tech/ME or equivalent degree in engineering/technology with 60% marks. OR
BE/B. Tech or equivalent degree with 60% marks and 2 years research experience as on The previous date of application. OR
MPharm/MVSc/MSc(Ag) or equivalent degree with 55% marks and a single publication in SCI Journal and ought to have a minumum of one year study experience according to the final date of program, evidenced from fellowship / associateship or by date of enrollment for Ph.D.
Records in support of study, teaching (not under the undergraduate degree ) expertise And Ph.D. registration ought to be attached.
People who were given PhD/MD/MS/MDS degree or have submitted their thesis to the award Of PhD/MD/MS/MDS degrees aren’t qualified for the place of SRF. People that are qualified for RA won’t be considered for SRF.
STIPEND AND TENURE:
Rs. 28000/- a month throughout complete tenure of date or fellowship of PhD viva-voce whatever is sooner. In Addition, each SRF is going to be given a contingent supply of a max Rs. 20,000/-p.a.. The grant will be supplied to the University/Institution where the SRF will be connected. SRFs will receive Rs. 3000/- (lump sum) additional on submission of Ph.D thesis from e-form. 2. RESEARCH ASSOCIATESHIPS:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. PhD (in a science or technology topic ) or MD/MS/MDS (in medical science field ) or ME/MTech/MPharm/MVSc with three years R&D expertise according to the last date of application, evidenced from fellowship or associateship or by date of enrollment of PhD.
2. PhD (science/engineering) thesis submitted is also qualified for RA’ship. Choice in such Instances will be subject to the state which PhD viva-voce completed & announced qualified for award of PhD/awarded PhD level prior to the expiry of the validity of this award offer.
3. The candidate applying for Research Associateship should have a Minumum of One research Publication in regular refereed journal as recorded in Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
Employed candidates, whether temporary or permanent, and those who’ve already Availed higher fellowships such as Senior Research Associateships etc. won’t be considered for RAship
STIPEND
The stipend of RA will probably be among the following to your Whole tenure:
- Rs. 36,000/- p.m. (Fixed),
- Rs. 38,000/-p.m. (Fixed),
- Rs. 40,000/-p.m. (Fixed), as advocated by the selection committee.
Furthermore, each RA will Get a contingent grant of a maximum of Rs. 20,000/-p.a. that is Provided to the worried University/Institution.
SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR SRF/RA:
Choice will be made via interview of applicants short-listed on the basis of the academic Documents, experience and evaluation of research work carried out and published by the applicants, by discipline-wise high level specialist committees. The SC/ST candidates called for interview will be compensated single second class rail/bus fare to and fro by the shortest path from the station cited in the address for correspondence supplied in the online application from (within India) to place of interview about production of documentary evidence according to principle in force. Merely meeting of those vital credentials won’t entitle a candidate to be called for interview. CSIR reserves the right to call or not to call a candidate for the interview.
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES:
The candidates should carefully read the following directions before submitting their applications:
i. A candidate may use in just one topic code. Code number of this topic ought to be carefully chosen (given in Appendix I) and suggested against the right column. Candidates later successfully submitting application on the internet Need to take print out of the Application Form and glue his/her current picture in the space provided and send (as the topmost page) and all the following documents to Scientist-In-Charge, EMR-I, Human Resource Development Group, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi 110 012, in Order to reach latest by July 13th, 2018:
(i) Detail description of suggested research subjects giving an outline of the issue (about Registration, Proof of PhD Submission/PhD Viva-Voce/PhD level, NET, GATE, etc. Attested copies of documents in support of research expertise. Only office dictates (OMs) will be recognized as evidence of expertise. Testimonials won’t be approved for this purpose.
(iii) Self attested copies of research papers published, accepted for publication.
(iv) Testimonial from Guide/ Supervisor.
(v) Undertaking to resign in the event of candidates that are employed in the event of award of Senior Research fellowship/Research Associateship (SRF/RA).
(vi) Attestations from the proposed Guide/Supervisor along with also the Head of the Institute in the space provided in the hard copy of the Application Form.
