CSIR UGC NET June 2017 Paper Pattern : The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Examination Unit has released the Joint CSIR-UGC Test June session examination dates. The exam is scheduled to be held tentatively on June 18.
The examination is held for determining the eligibility of the candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for the appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science and Technology, mentioned in a notification issued by the council.
JOINT CSIR-UGC NET Exam December 2016 Result
CSIR-UGC NET Exam for Science stream is conducted by CSIR in the following areas: –
The pattern for the Single Paper MCQ test shall be as given below:-
- ♦The MCQ test paper of each subject shall carry a maximum of 200 marks.
- ♦The exam shall be for duration of three hours.
- ♦The question paper shall be divided in three parts
- Part ‘A’ shall be common to all subjects. This part shall be a test containing a maximum of 20 questions of General Aptitude. The candidates shall be required to answer any 15 questions of two marks each. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 30 out of 200
- Part ‘B’ shall contain subject-related conventional MCQs. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 70 out of 200. The maximum number of questions to be attempted shall be in the range of 20-35.
- Part ‘C’ shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 100 out of 200.

CBSE UGC NET Exam Pattern June/July 2017
Pattern of UGC NET Exam Paper 2017 is classified between following categories –
Scheme of Test
UGC NET Exam consists of three rounds of objective type papers. Each paper has its different standard and difficulty level which increases from first to third round.
1. Paper-I
This round is General Aptitude Test which consists of sections like– Reasoning Ability, Comprehension Reading, Mental Ability, and General Awareness etc. To know more about syllabus of Paper-I please click here.
There will be 60 questions each of two marks, out of which 50 questions would be required to answer.
In that case candidate attempts more than 50 questions then first 50 questions will be considered for marking.
2. Paper-II
This round will consist of 50 compulsory MCQ(Multiple choices with single correct answer)questions each of two marks.
3. Paper-III:
This is the third and final round of UGC/CBSE NET Exam. It will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate and each question will carry two marks.
Time Duration of Paper-I and Paper-II is same 75 minutes each and for Paper-III, it is 150 minutes.
Note – Paper-II and III cover entire syllabus of subject selected by the candidate.

The CSIR NET Exam Paper is divided into 3 sections – Part A, Part B and Part C.
Part A – It is common to (for) all subjects.
In this section, candidates’ talent is measured on the basis of their key skills in General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis, and Research Aptitude.
Type of Questions – MCQ.
Part B – Subject-Related Conventional MCQs with less difficulty level.
Type of Questions – MCQ.
Part C – Higher Value Subject related Questions that tests the candidate’s scientific knowledge.
The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.

CSIR UGC NET 2017 June Admit card
The appearing candidates of CSIR UGC NET June 2017, can download their admit cards from the official website www.csirhrdg.res.in which will be issued by May 2017. The candidates have to enter their application form number and date of birth to download their admit card. No hard copy of admit cards will be issued to any candidate. The candidates have to carry their admit cards at the examination centre.
CSIR UGC NET Answer Key 2017
- The Answer Key will be made available as per different subjects.
- It will be provided in the set A, B, C, D.
- It will contain the correct answers of the questions asked in the exam.
CSIR UGC NET Result 2017
Result will be declared in the month of October/November 2017. Candidates qualifying the single MCQs will be awarded JRF and will be eligible for Lectureship.
CSIR UGC NET Cutoff 2017
- Institute will decide the minimum qualifying percentage for all the disciplines/subjects.
- Candidates will be eligible for the award of the eligibility who will obtain the score as much as the cutoff score.
