DRDO recruitment 2019 for Postgraduates and Ph.D. students is going to be conducted the Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur through walk-in-interviews. Defence Laboratory is a material cluster laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation. The vacancies available are pertaining to a DRDO Research project. Selected candidates would be eligible for a salary up to Rs 54,000.
Who can Apply for DRDO Recruitment 2019?
There are a total of 4 positions available for Indian nationals.
- 02 Vacancy – Research Associate
- 02 Vacancy – Junior Research Fellow
Research Associates – The qualification required for the same is PhD or equivalent in chemistry, material science, nano-materials, or polymers science along with working experience surface finishing and metallization techniques and their characterization or material synthesis and characterization. The candidates would be selected for a period of two years. The selected candidates would be eligible for a pay of Rs 54,000 plus house rent allowance.
Junior Research Fellow – positions available for which candidates with a first-class postgraduate degree – MSc or equivalent along with national eligibility test (NET) qualification CSIR-UGC, MHRD (GATE) or JEST. The selected candidates would be eligible for a pay of Rs 31,000 plus house rent allowance. The age limit would be 35 years and 28 years for Research Associates and JRF, respectively. However, the age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC and ST, and 3 years for OBC candidates as per government rules.
The notification also clearly mentions that the offer of fellowship does not confer on the candidates any right for absorption in DRDO under any circumstances

Eligible candidates can walk-in for the interviews at the Defence Research Laboratory, Ratanada Palace, Jodhpur 342011 at 10 am IST. Furthermore, (Research Associates’ walk-in-interview would be held on 29 July 2019) and (JRF walk-in-interview would be held on 30 July 2019).
