Fellowship for working journalists, freelancers: Know how to apply
The Ohio State University is inviting applications from working journalists as well as freelancers for their Kiplinger Fellowship 2018.
It is a renowned fellowship on digital media tools and tactics and it will be held between April 16, 2018 and April 20, 2018 at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in Athens, Columbus. Journalists and freelancers who want to sharpen their digital skills are most welcome to apply for this Fellowship.

Eligibility:
Applicant must be a working Journalist or a Freelancer and should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.

Other Information:
Following documents are to be prepared before applying for the scholarship:
- A short bio of about 150 words
- An explanation of about 200 words on how the Kiplinger Fellowship can benefit the candidate and his/her newsroom
- Name, title, organization, phone number and email of your two references
- Web links to three latest stories that essentially showcase candidate’s talent
Note: In case the stories are available in different languages, please supply the English translations of three stories.
Award details:
Free training on digital media tools and tactics that cover the topics of social media such as branding and audience management, reporting, data visualization and spreadsheets, media ethics and Smartphone videography. One week accommodation and most of the meals.Candidates working outside of United States will be given limited travel fare.
