This year, the exam was held during forenoon and afternoon sessions on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on February 4 to February 5, and February 11 and February 12.
How to contest answer keys?
- Log on to GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website, appsgate.iitr.ac.in
- Click on the relevant link
- Challenge the answer keys by making online payment
- Click to submit

The question papers along with their respective answer keys for all GATE 2017 papers are given below.
In the GOAPS, a module to contest answer keys will be available from 10:00 hours (IST) of 3 March 2017 till 10:00 hours (IST) of 6 March 2017. A candidate can challenge the answer key of any question after giving their justification(s) and payment of Rs. 500 (for each question) through the online payment portal available in the GOAPS. For candidates who have appeared in GATE 2017 from outside India, the fee for each answer key challenge is US$10.
While challenging the answer keys the candidates should ensure that they quote the proper question number as per the PDF file of the question paper given below. Please remember that if the proper question number is not correctly identified then the challenge may not be considered.
Payments for a successful challenge will be refunded. For all challenges on answer keys, the decision of the GATE 2017 committee shall be final and binding. No correspondence or telephone calls on this matter will be entertained.

How to download GATE Answer Key 2017
- The official GATE Answer Key that will be announced by IIT Roorkee will be made available on this page.
- Candidates will have to check the discipline and if they have appeared for ME, CE, CS, EE, or EC, they must check for the session they have appeared.
- Thereafter they must click on the given link corresponding to the GATE Paper and session.
- The PDF file will open in a new browser and candidates can use the download button or the save button to download and save the file.
- The Corresponding question paper will also be put up here so candidates can use the same to match their answers and compare with the official Answer Key of GATE 2017.

GATE 2017 Cut off and Qualifying Marks
GATE 2017 Cut Off list will release after the result announcement. GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is managed by the seven IITs on rotation basis. This year the GATE exam is organized by the IIT Roorkee.
