GATE 2018: Question Paper with Answer Key for all subjects are available on the official website: appsgate.iitg.ac.in . GATE 2018 exam was held on February 3, 4 and February 10, 11, 2018 (9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm) for a total of 23 subjects.

The candidates will be given three days to submit their representations to GATE answer key and will be able to challenge the answer key from February 21 to 23. The answer keys will be available at appsgate.iitg.ac.in , the same website where the response sheet is available. The GATE 2018 result is expected to be released by March 17. The (GATE score is valid for three years) from the date of announcement of the results.

How to check GATE 2018 Answer Key – 

The answer key of GATE 2018 for both forenoon and afternoon session is available now for ME, CS  and IN paper. Various coaching centres like Made Easy, The GATE Academy, GATEForum etc. release the GATE 2018 answer key for various sessions. The GATE 2018 answer key contains the correct answers to the questions asked in the entrance test. Publication of the GATE answer key 2018 will help the candidates verify their answers with the ones provided by the experts and calculate their scores in the exam to estimate their probable ranks.

GATE 2018 Question Papers and Answer Keys (Official)

The candidates who qualify for GATE 2018 will be eligible for admission to Post Graduate Programs (Masters & Doctoral) in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science. Some Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as BHEL, GAIL, HAL, NTPC, NPCIL, ONGC etc also use the GATE scores for recruitment.

According to the latest details available, the GATE 2018 answer sheets will be available for February 21, 2018 and the GATE 2018 results will be declared on March 17, 2018. All candidates are accordingly advised to go through the responses.

• Log into GOAPs.
• Read the guidelines given carefully.
• Agree to the declaration stating that guidelines for the contest of the GATE Answer Key have been understood.
• Click on the “Contest Answer Key” button to be able to pay and mail their objections.
• Pay Rs 500 online for every question to be challenged through the online portal provided.
• NRI aspirants of GATE will have to pay US $ 10.
• Use the correct question number given in the question paper to challenge.
• Attach the justification for challenging the answer key.

 

How to calculate GATE score using the answer key?

• Count the marks gained in the correct answers and deduct the marks lost in incorrect answers due to negative marking.
• The numerical questions will not have negative marking.

GATE score = Marks obtained for MCQs + Marks obtained for NAT questions

MCQ Marks: Total marks (1 marks) + Total marks (2 marks)

• Total marks (1 marks) = 1 x number of correct answers – 1/3 x number of wrong answers
• Total marks (2 marks) = 2 x number of correct answers – 2/3 x number of wrong answers

NAT Marks: Total marks (1 marks) + Total marks (2 marks)

GATE Result 2018

The result of GATE 2018 will be announced in online mode for all the qualified candidates on March 17, 2018. Candidates can use their GATE registration number to check their GATE result 2018.
