IIT Madras has scheduled GATE 2019 from February 2, 3, 9 and 10 in CBT mode.
The examination will be conducted in over 95 cities in India and 6 foreign cities.
The registration window for GATE exam closed on October 1, candidates can download GATE Admit Cards from January 4, 2019.
GATE 2019 result will be announced on March 16, 2019 and the score cards of GATE 2019 will be released separately on March 20.

Stage 1 – Registration

The first step in the HPCL recruitment is registration. To do that, candidates muct click on “Career Opportunities”. Registration for HPCL recruitment through GATE 2019 will only be possible after downloading their GATE admit card 2019 on which their GATE registration number 2019 will be available. Candidates have to login and use this registration number of GATE 2019 to register.

Stage 2 – Filling application form and submission

After registration, candidates need to fill the application form by entering the following details,

Candidates may next upload their resume and photograph as per the specification mentioned above.

They must submit the application form online after which a unique 12 digit HPCL Application Number will be generated. Candidates must download their application form and take a printout of the same. They must then affix a recent passport size photograph on it and put signature at the specified space. This printed application form must be kept safe as it will be required at various steps of the recruitment process.

Stage 3 – Application fee payment

General category candidates have to pay Rs 236 in case of debit cards, Rs 271 in case of credit cards and Rs 271 in case of payment through bank vouchers. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from fee payment.

Payment can be done through Credit/Debit Card. Candidates will find the status changed to Payment Received on successful fee payment. Take printout of the acknowledgement of payment and keep it safe.

For offline payment through SBI Challan

Download the challan and take a printout.
After two working days of application submission, go and deposit the amount in cash in HPCL Powerjyoti A/C Number 32315049001 at nearest SBI branch
After the fee payment, cross-check and ensure that the bank affixes ‘payment received’ stamp and Journal no. on both parts of challan.
Collect the ‘Candidate’s copy’ of part 2 of the challan from bank and keep it safe for future reference.
On successful fee payment, the payment status will change to “Payment Received”

Process after HPCL Selection through GATE 2019

Job Profile

Selected candidates have to undergo one year of training (mandatory) post which they will be absorbed as Officers at HPCL. Candidates can be posted for shift duties in any SBU/Division/Department of the PSU at any place in the country/otherwise.

Training & Probation

For 1 year from the date of joining, the selected Officers will be on Probation. Post successful training completion, they will be confirmed as officers in Grade A. Confirmation letters will be given to them subject to complying with satisfactory performance, attendance requirements, verification of antecedents, verification of caste status/certificate and caste validity wherever applicable and qualifying in technical competency test and project. Rs 5000 will be deducted as retention amount during the first six months of probation. This amount will be refunded after confirmation.

Pay Scale and Perks

On joining, the candidates will also be entitled for additional benefits as applicable. Besides Basic Pay, they will be entitled to allowance at 50% of Basic Pay under Cafeteria Approach (including medical benefits for self and family members), Dearness Allowance, HRA and retirement Benefits up to 30% of Basic Pay & DA which include Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, and Superannuation Benefit applicable as per Corporation’s policy in force at that time. Apart from this, Performance Related Pay (PRP) is also paid to them as per the PSU’s policy.

Percentage of Marks: 60% marks ( aggregate marks of all semesters) for GEN/OBC and 50% for ST/SC in the qualifying degree examination.

Candidates currently in final year of their engineering studies may also apply. However, if selected, they must be in a position to submit their final mark sheet by 31st August 2019. At the time of applying, candidates (belonging to General and OBC NC category) should have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks up to last semester examinations which are relaxed to 50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

Age Limit for HPCL Recruitment through GATE 2019

Upper Limit is 25 years as on 30th June 2019 for the general category candidates i.e. candidates born on or after 30.06.1994. Age relaxation for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PWD candidates will be applicable as per the Presidential Directives.
