JEE Main 2017: Avoid these silly mistakes in the exam
Don’t miss out the key points in the question paper:
Many students don’t read the question paper carefully and miss the key points which result in loosing vital marks in the paper. Students should read the entire paper carefully in the first 5-10 minutes. It is advisable to read each and every word of the paper carefully, understand what is being asked and then solve it.
Manage your time well
It is most important factor responsible for fetching marks in papers. Students make mistakes in making proper time management in solving the different section in the paper. Students waste their time in solving the questions which are difficult. Experts suggest that you should give 45 minutes to each section and first try and solve the questions which are easy and more scoring as doing this will fetch you marks and crack the exam.
Don’t fall into tricky traps:
In the paper, examiners give some questions which are tricky and distract the student. The types of questions are to confuse you. If you are not careful you are bound to fall in the trap and loose marks. So try and be very attentive while choosing such questions.
Don’t be nervous:
Many students become nervous when they find the paper to be tough which lead to loosing of motivation. So you should not get nervous, since it is the relative performance that counts. Hence, put your best analytical mind to work, it will take you ahead.
Don’t be too lured by easy questions:
Students become so happy to see the questions they actually can solve that they completely forget to solve the questions which can fetch them more marks. Suppose if you know three questions of Inorganic Chemistry and two of them are for 5 marks each and one of is of 10 marks, you should solve the 10-mark question first.
Apart from these tips there are few more do’s and don’ts for students which will help you in avoiding mistakes.
Do’s
- Choose sections that have less risk and more gain
- Double check before marking the OMR sheet
- Remain calm and don’t panic
Dont’s
- Don’t start from question you don’t know
- Don’t guess if you have idea about the concept involved in a question
You have put in your best so just relax and wait for your success.
