JEE Main 2016 Cut off For Different Colleges

JEE Main 2016 cut off will be announced in the last week of April after the JEE Main 2016 examination which will be held on 3rd April 2016 (Pen Paper Based) and 9th–10th April 2016 (Computer Based Test). Candidates would get accurate details of JEE Main Cut off For Various Colleges only after publication of its result. Candidates that score above the JEE Main 2016 cut off will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced. Last year CBSE published the results and the cutoff for general category was 105 marks, which was 115 in 2014.  JEE Main Cutoff rank is the last rank to be admitted in any course or in the merit list.

The rank of the students is decided on the basis of the scores that they have got in the exam and the last rank that is there on the list is considered as cut-off rank. All the students who score less than the cut-off rank will not be eligible for admission in any of the participating colleges. JEE Main All India Ranks are declared using the pre-decided formula, where 60% of score is calculated on the basis of student’s JEE scores and 40% weight-age is given to their normal scores in 12^th Board exams.

How the Cutoff is decided?

JEE Main 2016 cutoff is based on several parameters, broadly it depends upon, how many students have appeared in the examination, how much students have scored, and after looking on several factors the examination committee decides what should be the cutoff for the JEE Main Exam.

The cutoff marks for the JEE Main 2016 will also based on category wise; this means that for different category, there will be a separate cutoff.

The Cutoff for the JEE Main has been announced for the second stage of entrance exam for admission to prestigious IIT’s. Top 2 lakh candidates will be appearing for JEE Advanced 2016.
