SUBMISSION OF JEE MAIN 2016 APPLICATION FORM

The application form of JEE Main 2016 is now available, from December 1, 2015. One month time will be given to students for submitting the form as the last date to apply online is December 31, 2015. 1st shift will be from 09:30 to 12:30 hours (IST) and the 2nd shift will be from 14:00 to 17:00 hours (IST) if required.

JEE Main Participating States

According to reports, around top 1.5 lakh rank holders clearing the first stage- JEE Mains are eligible for this exam.

As per the last year details the states as Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland & Odisha had participated in JEE Exam. The students seeking the admission in these states are advised to fill the JEE Main 2016 application form through online. These states were earlier admitting on the basis of state level entrance test.

Exam Pattern for JEE Main 2016

Highlights

The Whole paper will be set of 90 questions.
Each subject i.e Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will contain 30 questions.
Negative marking pattern will be followed.

JEE MAIN 2016 Important Dates

JEE Main online application starts – 1st December 2015
JEE Main online application last date – 31st December 2015
Correction period – two weeks in second half of January 2016
Availability of JEE Main admit card 2016 – first week of March 2016 (onwards)
JEE Main pen and paper based paper – first week of April
JEE Main Computer based Paper – second to third week of April 2016
Display of Answer Key and OMR Sheet – fourth week of April 2016

The candidates are advised to read the following eligibility criteria before applying the JEE Main 2016:

The general and OBC candidates must born on or after 1^st October 1991 and the SC/ST/PwD candidates must born on or after 1^st October 1986.
The candidates must be passed or appearing the 12^th or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with PCM group with minimum 50%.
The Candidates passed the 12th or its equivalent exam before 2014 will not be eligible for JEE Main 2016.
