BREAKING NEWS : The Central Board of Secondary Education announce the NEET 2017 result today i.e. 23/06/2017 at cbseresults.nic.in and cbseneet.nic.in . As per the sources, the Board will declared the result at around 4 pm. Two days back, the official result portal of the Government of India flashed that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be out on June 22. However, in the noon, the message was withdrawn, causing a major confusion among the candidates who showered their anger on social networking sites.

Last News – 21/06/2017 : The NEET 2017 Results has been delayed. While board officials have not confirmed any date, there is a likelihood that the results may be declared today. However it would not be delayed beyond June 26 as the board has assured the Supreme Court of the same.
Some officials indicate that they had tried to declare the results on Tuesday itself.
However there is some discussion on the 8 bonus marks to be awarded for ambiguous questions. Experts are of the view that the extra 8 marks for ambiguous questions should be given. This could be the reason behind the delay.

Previous Update – CBSE will announce the result of NEET 2017 today i.e. 20/06/2017 at the official website cbseresults.nic.in and cbseneet.nic.in . On June 12, the Supreme Court overruled the Madras High Court order and directed the Central Board of Secondary Education to announce NEET 2017 result by June 26. The result were originally scheduled to release on June 8.
NEET 2017 Results: The exam was held in 10 languages including English, Hindi and others. NEET was made mandatory for admission in MBBS and BDS courses across India last year. The students can access the result at cbseresults.nic.in and cbseneet.nic.in
The Supreme Court has allowed the CBSE to declare the NEET 2017 result. The petition filed by the CBSE was allowed by the Supreme Court. As a result of this order, CBSE can declare the results for the MBBS and BDS courses. The date of the declaration will be however be fixed by the CBSE. The Supreme Court also directed all High Courts not to entertain petitions on NEET 2017. With the SC order the stay on the declaration of results by the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has also been lifted. The petition before the Gujarat High Court too will not be heard as a result of the SC verdict. Both the cases on before the two High Courts have also been stayed by the SC. The top court asked CBSE to declare NEET 2017 results before 26 June.

The stay on CBSE NEET Result 2017 has been extended till Jun 12 even as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board has filed counter affidavit.Gujarat High Court will next hear the case on June 13.
It may be recalled that the Gujarat HC had taken the CBSE to task.The CBSE said in its submission that it had set different question papers to avoid it from getting leaked. Justice S G Shah was however not impressed by the argument and rapped the board. If the officer says that there is a chance of leakage in vernacular language, I am not going to pardon him, Justice Shah said.
Supreme court extends medical admissions date for NEET PG admissions to June 12
Medical examinations under NEET 2017 have been extended. The Supreme Court has extended the deadline for admissions to NEET PG medical courses at Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University and to government colleges till June 12.
This verdict has surely bought respite to the students who wish to secure the admissions to prestigious medical institutes like Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) . The decision has been taken by the bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan and Deepak Gupta and has also set aside a high court ruling, reacting to the plea by Ashish Ranjan. The court to monitor the time frame for conducting the counselling and admission process of medical courses.
The order came on the plea of BHU and AMU contending that the high court verdict was violative of earlier apex court judgement and Medical Council of India (MCI) regulations which allow institutes to take admissions on 50 per cent seats from their own institution.

Impossible to declare result on June 8 says CBSE.
The CBSE has said that there is no chance of the NEET 2017 results being declared on June 8. The submission was made by the board during a hearing at the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court. The court had stayed the declaration of the results after a petition challenged the different sets of question papers set for English medium and vernacular languages.

CBSE defends different question papers in vernacular language, Gujarat HC not impressed
It was only experts who decided on the difficulty level of the question papers. The counter said 90.75 per cent of the students had written the examination in English and only 9.25 per cent of the students had written in vernacular languages. It also said question papers were prepared in vernacular language to ensure that there was no leakage. In case of leakage, it would be enough if re-examination was held only for 1.05 lakh students. In some cases, not even 0.03 per cent of the candidates opted for vernacular language.

To check NEET 2017 result, candidates must enter their roll number and date of birth. NEET result to be available in the form of score card which indicates name of candidate, date of birth, subject-wise and total marks, percentile scores, overall and category-wise All India rank, cutoff for 15% All India Quota seats, qualified or non-qualified status. To qualify in NEET 2017, general candidates must secure 50th qualifying percentile, whereas, SC/ST/OBC and PH candidates have to obtain 40th and 45th percentile respectively.
Last week, the Madras high court had stayed all further proceedings with regard to the examination held on May 7 based on petitions praying for cancellation of NEET-2017. The judge asked the Union health and family welfare secretary, director-general health services, New Delhi, Medical Council of India (MCI), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Tamil Nadu health and family welfare secretary to file replies by June 7.
Till date none of the agencies have sought for an early hearing. “It’s unlikely for the results to be announced on June 8,” a senior official told TOI. However, CBSE is yet to clarify a revised date for it.
More than 11.35 lakh students wrote the test across the country on May 7. In Tamil Nadu, 88,000 candidates had registered for NEET while 84,000 plus students appeared for the test. With the court order, CBSE had to stop evaluation of answer sheets. It also did not declare the answer keys as per schedule on May 30.

Tamil Nadu has 24 government run colleges and an equal number of private colleges. Even if the results are declared in mid-June, counselling sessions will begin only by the month-end. By then admission in many colleges would have closed. “The first concern for many of us is whether students will first secure the required mark to make it to the colleges. Without knowing that, we have had to apply for other colleges to keep options open. But even colleges have a deadline and will not reserve seats. Only when we get clarity on results can we move ahead,” said R Geeta, a parent.
