NPCIL Recruitment through GATE 2020 – Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has announced the dates for NPCIL Recruitment through GATE 2020 for the position of Executive Trainees. The application for NPCIL recruitment through GATE will start tentatively by March 26 which is 10 days after the declaration of the GATE 2020 result. The last date to apply for NPCIL recruitment is April 9, 2020. Engineering graduates in Mechanical. Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Civil, Industrial and Fire Safety engineering are eligible. Candidates with a valid GATE score (2018/ 2019/ 2020) can apply for the NPCIL recruitment through GATE 2020. Selection will be based on the GATE Scores. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering will be held on February 1, 2, 8, and 9, 2020. After that results of the same will be declared by March 16, 2020. Registrations for NPCIL recruitment through GATE 2020 will open around 10 days after results. Tentatively the last date to apply will be April 9, 2020. However notifications on the recruitment are already available in hindi, english, marathi.
NPCIL Recruitment Through GATE 2020 will be for Executive Trainees in mechanical, chemical, electrical, electronics, instrumentation, civil and industrial and fire safety. Candidates with valid GATE score in relevant subject papers will be eligible to apply. For the industrial and fire safety discipline, valid GATE score in mechanical or chemical discipline with engineering degree in industrial and fire safety.
GATE 2020 will be conducted by IIT Delhi for 25 papers. October 5 is the last day to register for the exam. The last date to apply with normal fee has already ended on September 28. IIT delhi will be issuing the admit cards to applicants on January 03, 2020 at appsgate.iitd.ac.in. Candidates will have to carry their admit cards on their exam day.
NPCIL will shortlist candidates on their performance in the national level exam. There will be further rounds such as interview for those called. The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited is engaged various aspects of nuclear technology. This includes sitting of NPPs, design, construction, commissioning, operation, maintenance, renovation, modernization and upgradation, plant life extension, waste management and decommission of nuclear reactors.
Last year 200 vacancies were filled on the basis of GATE scores in this PSU. There were 83 vacancies for mechanical, 13 for chemical, 45 for electrical, 14 for electronics, 5 for instrumentation, and 40 for civil. Candidates were given a fifteen days window to apply.

Steps to fill the online application form of NPCIL Recruitment through GATE
Step 1: Registration
Candidates are required to first register for COAP 2020 before filling the NPCIL application form.
Candidates have to register using the GATE 2020/ 2019/ 2018 application number mentioned on the GATE admit card. Enter COAP registration number, discipline of GATE, name, date of birth, email, phone number and category.
On successful registration, an activation link will be sent to the applicant’s email.
Candidates have to click on the link to activate the registration process and complete the registration process.
Step 2: Login to fill the application details
Candidates have to login using their login id and password to fill their personal details, GATE details, Educational Qualifications, Work Experience, choice of Written/Online Test centre in case a test is being conducted for the post etc.
This stage is a multi-stage one and candidates are allowed to go to next stage only on entering the information required for current stage. The sequence of the details that have to be filled are given below:

Important: All applicants should mention the NPCIL Application No. while paying the fee using State Bank Collect. The information entered while making the online payment through ‘State Bank Collect’ should be the same as entered in online NPCIL application. Step 4 – Printing of the NPCIL application form – Candidates will able to view or print their NPCIL application only after verification of payment of fee. Candidates must print the same and submit it at the time of the interview along with the printed receipt of ‘State Bank Collect’
Shortlisting and Selection for NPCIL recruitment through GATE 2020
Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the availability of the ‘Interview Call Letter’ through email and SMS.
The date, time and venue of the interview will be mentioned in the ‘NPCIL Interview Call Letter’.
Candidates must login, download and print the interview call letter of NPCIL recruitment through GATE 2020.
They are required to carry the same to the interview venue failing which they will not be allowed to appear for interview.
All the shortlisted applicants must carry with them the following document when reporting for the personal interview. They must carry the originals as well as a set of self-attested copies of the same.

Applicants who have been awarded CGPA/ GPA/ SGPA or letter grades will be required to produce the authenticated conversion table from the Institute/College/University. If not, standard formula provided by AICTE will be applied to derive the percentage of marks.

Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in case of PWD candidates.

Selection Process – Weightage given to GATE and Interview
GATE scores are only used to shortlist candidates.
The performance in the interview is given weightage for final selection.
Qualifying marks for a candidate in interview – 70% for Gen/OBC candidates while it is 60% for SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwBD candidates
Training and Placement:
All selected candidates will have to undergo one year orientation training in any of the Nuclear Training Centres of NPCIL located at Tarapur Maharashtra Site, Rawatbhata Rajasthan Site, MAPS Kalpakkam (Tamil Nadu), Kaiga Site (Karnataka) and Kudankulam (Tamil Nadu).
Trainees who successfully complete one year orientation training will be appointed as Scientific Officer/C and posted at one of the Units/Sites/Offices of NPCIL located at different parts of the country.
Additional increment/s, as per extant rules, depending upon performance during training program may also be granted.
In addition to emoluments as above, other things like PF, LTC, Medical facility, Canteen Subsidy, Performance Incentive, Group Insurance, Gratuity, Housing, transport etc are available as per extant rules depending on place of posting
