Railway Recruitment 2018: In its latest recruitment drive, the Indian Railways is expected to announce 50,000 vacancies for the post of Assistant Station Master at indianrailways.gov.in.

Railway Recruitment Board, which will conduct the examination is expected to release the RRB ASM 2018 notification anytime soon, according to a report by news channels. This year the test will be conducted online so that it takes less time to make the appointments. As the Indian railways is coming with this huge opportunity, candidates try hard to secure a government job in the sector. The examination will be conducted for 100 marks and will include subjects like General Awareness, Arithmetic Ability, General Intelligence and Reasoning and English. Candidates will get 90 minutes to complete the test. It is likely that the RRB ASM 2018 application process may begin from January and will continue till February. Candidates who are interested to appear in this exam must know the syllabus to prepare themselves as it will be a competitive exam.

Selection Process for RRB Assistant Station Master: RRB ASM Recruitment 2018

Candidates will have to undergo through three stages– Prelims Exam, Mains Examination and Personal Interview that will be conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board.

Prelims Exam : The Exam pattern comprises of 100 Objective type Questions. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes.

1	Arithmetic Ability:	25 Marks.
2	Science (General):	30 Marks.
3	General Intelligence:	25 Marks.
4	General Knowledge:	20 Marks.

The marks scored in the RRB ASM 2018 Prelims exam is not included in the final merit list. It is just a qualifying exam to enter the main examination.

1. General Awareness:-

Static General Knowledge:-
Indian History, Politics, Geography, Arts, Culture, General Science, Physics, Chemistry, Defence, Agriculture, Space, Environment, Biology, Agriculture.

Current Affairs:-
Economy, Banking, Awards, Sports, International Affairs, Current Events.

2. Arithmetic Ability:-

Percentages, Boats & Streams, Data Interpretation, Averages, Profit and Loss, Problems on Ages, Simplification, Interest, Pipes & Cisterns, Time & Distance, Time & Work.

3. General Intelligence and Reasoning:-

Number Series, Verbal Classification, Analogies, Matching Definitions, Verbal Reasoning, Logical Games, Statement and Assumption, Statement and Conclusion, Cause and Effect, Odd One Out, Ranking, Cubes and Dice, Decision Making, Clocks & Calendars, Coding and Decoding, Non-verbal, Number Series etc.

4. English:-

Reading Comprehension, Fill the blanks, Error Detection, Miscellaneous, Para Jumbles, Cloze Test etc.

Candidates who want to apply for RRB ASM Recruitment 2018 must have a valid AADHAR Card number. Candidates desiring to apply for posts in the Railways are requested to visit the Aadhaar Enrollment Centers at the earliest and get them enrolled for Aadhaar. Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) propose to introduce the scheme of verifying the identity of candidates applying for their forthcoming exams through Aadhaar cards.

Age Limit: 18 years to 32 years as on 1^st January 2018.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess a Graduation Degree from a recognized university.
Nationality: Indian Citizens.
