Update on RRB ALP Admit Card 2018 for August 31st exam and download link
Railway Recruitment Board has released the Admit Card for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technician exam to be held on the last day of the month i.e., August 31, 2018.
Candidates can download their respective e-call letter starting today to September 3, 2018 from the Indian Railways official website – indianrailways.gov.in.

The RRB ALP second phase exams are beginning from August 29 and second phase’s last exam would be held on September 4, 2018.
This year, over 47.56 lakh candidates have applied to be a part of the world’s largest recruitment drive. Under the RRB’s group C and D recruitment drive, a total of 26,502 posts are available – 17,673 posts for assistant locomotive pilots (ALPs) and 8,829 posts for technicians.
The recruitment drive was in the news recently because of the number of applicants it attracted. More than 2 crore candidates had applied for around 89,000 positions, and many candidates were overqualified for the positions.
In a major development, due to Kerala floods, the RRB has extended the exam date by adding September 4 in the schedule. The admit card, for September 4 exam, primarily for the Kerala candidates, would be released on August 31 and candidates can download it up to September 3, 2018.
It may be recalled that the RRB is organizing examination this month for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician and has been releasing admit cards for the same four days prior to the exam date.
Earlier, the RRB had finalized 10-day schedule for the conducting the examination. The first exam was held on August 9 and the Admit Card for the same was released on August 5, 2018. According to the schedule, the last exam would be conducted on August 31 and the Admit Card for this would be released on August 27, 2018.
Now, the RRB has added the 11th day in the schedule, the exam for which is slated to be held on September 4, 2018 and the board would release the admit card for the same on August 31, 2018.
The first phase of the examination began from August 9 and tests were then held on August 13, 14, 17, 20 and 21. In the second and the final phase the exams are to be held from August 29, 30, 31 and September 4, 2018.

- Download of Travel Authority for SC/ST candidates (This is only to make travel arrangements and not an E-Call letter): July 26
- Download of E-Call Letter: 4 days prior to the date of CBT of the candidate
A notice issued by the Railways stated that candidates can log in with their credentials on the mentioned dates through the link to be provided on the official websites of RRBs for knowing their exam city, date and session and downloading travel authority (for SC/ST candidates only) and E-call letter.

A railways spokesperson in an interview with the Indian Express said, “We would like to appeal to all candidates to refer to the official websites of Railway Recruitment Boards for all relevant information and not fall prey to the messages circulated on social media.” He added, “Beware of touts and job racketeers as we recruit only on merit and the names of all shortlisted candidates will be published on the official websites of RRBs.”
