SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam Dates Postponed Again | Check Official Notification & New Dates.
LATEST NEWS – 05/01/2018: The SSC has rescheduled the CGL 2017 Tier II, MTS 2016 and JE 2017 exam dates. The same has been rescheduled from January 18-20, 2018 to February 17 to 22. This is the second time the exam dates have been postponed. Earlier, SSC CGL 2017 was scheduled to be held in December 2017.
The commission has also postponed exam dates of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) staff examination (Paper-II), 2016 which will be now held on January 28, 2018. Similarly, SSC will conduct Junior Engineers Examination (Paper-I), 2017, from January 22 till January 29. The recruitment exam was initially scheduled to held on January 22 to 25. There will be no examination on January 26 and 28, 2018. The admit card of the qualified candidates for Tier II will be uploaded on the websites of the respective regional offices approximately 10 days before the conduct of the Tier-II/III exams.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Examination 2017 is the next big thing for the aspirants of the Combined Graduate Level Examination conducted by SSC this year in 2017. After appearing for the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier 1 exam this year in the month of August, the candidates who crack the same shall appear for the next level exam of SSC CGLE 2017 i.e. Tier 2 level. The tentative answer keys were officially released by Staff Selection Commission in September 2017 to give candidates an idea about the CGL Tier expected cut-off score and range of marks within which their scores in the SSC CGLE 2017 Tier 1 exam shall lie. This would serve as the screening test for aspirants of SSC CGLE who shall after clearing this set cut-off marks take SSC CGL Tier 2 examination 2017.

Changes in SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2017 Tier 1 & 2
- Now SSC will conduct both, Tier I and Tier II exam in online mode.
- Reduce the time limit for examination of Tier -I from 75 minutes to 60 minutes.
- SSC CGL Tier II will remain same.
- Introduce a descriptive paper of 100 marks within 60 minutes in pen and paper mode.
- No Sectional Cut off.
The Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:
- Tier -I — Online Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
- Tier -II — Online Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
- Tier -III —Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi (writing of Essay/Precis/Letter /Application Writing)
- Tier -IV — Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification
SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2017 for Tier 2, & 3
In Tier II two papers are conducted on the same day. One is Quantitative Aptitude and the second one is English. In addition, for the posts of JSO and AAO, Paper 3 and Paper 4 are conducted respectively.
