The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on Tuesday released the application status for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2019 for North Western Region Chandigarh. Candidates who have applied from this region can check whether their application has been provisionally accepted or rejected by the commission by visiting the regional website of SSC.

Candidates whose applications are accepted can appear SSC CGL Exam 2020. SSC CGL 2019-20 Exam is scheduled to be held on 02 March to 11 March 2020. The Tier 2 and Tier III examination will be held from June 22 to June 25, 2020. The examination is held for filling up various Group C and Group D posts in different ministries/departments/organisations. There will be 100 questions on General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension, carrying 200 marks. Each section carries 25 questions of 50 marks. The total time duration is 1 hour. Negative marking will be done of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
In order to appear for SSC CGL Computer Based Exam (CBE) candidates will be required to carry their SSC CGL 2019-20 Admit Card. SSC will soon release the admit card on its official websites for various zones.
Staff Selection Commission had invited applications for the recruitment of CGL Posts such as Assistant Section Officer, Inspector , Sub Inspector, Assistant, Junior Statistical Officer, Statistical Investigator, Auditor, Accountant, Junior Accountant, Senior Secretariat Assistant/ Upper Division, Clerk, Tax Assistant and Upper Division Clerk.
The tentative vacancies to be filled through this examination will be intimated in the due course. Result will be processed based on number of final vacancies received from the User Departments.

- SSC CGL 2020 Tier-I Exam Date – Last week of February 2020
- SSC CGL Tier-II Exam Date – 2nd to 11th March 2020 (CBE)
- SSC CGL Tier-III Exam Date – 22nd June to 25th June 2020(CBE)
How to Download SSC CGL Tier 1 Admit Card
- Log on to the official website of SSC and click on the respective region-wise admit card links.
- Click on the link in order to download the SSC CGL 2020 Tier-I Admit Card for respective Region
- Enter the Registration Number/Roll Number followed by your D.O.B to procure the admit card
- Select the area which you preferred while applying for the exam.
- Take a print of the downloaded admit card

The examination will comprise of a computer based examination for Tier-I and Tier-II, pen and paper (descriptive examination) for Tier-III and CPT/DEST/Document verification for Tier-IV. SSC reserves the right to make changes in the Scheme of Examination.
