SSC cancels MTS 2017 exams, new dates to release soon

NOTICE REGARDING MTS EXAMINATION, 2016
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has decided to cancel the Multi Tasking Staff (MTS – Non Technical) examination 2016 that were held in the months of April and May 2017. The notice has been released for the examinations already conducted on April 30 and May 14 and and to be conducted on May 28, June 6 and June 11. The commission has further said that to avoid any further malpractice in the exam, it will hold MTS exam in online mode (computer based) tentatively in September-October, 2017.
Paper leaks:
The SSC MTS 2016 Paper-I (afternoon shift) held on April 30, was cancelled by the commission after the question paper and the answer keys were readily available on social media.
While reporting the event, Neetu Singh, director of KD Campus, uploaded images of the question paper and sought assistance from the SSC and the PMO. On her Facebook page, as per reports, the director of the coaching provider institution asked the students about the paper and the same was confirmed.
Selection procedure:
The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in Paper 1. Paper 2 will be only of qualifying nature. The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each state/UT will be fixed at the discretion of the commission. Candidates for each state/UT will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to their meeting basic qualifying standards fixed in Paper-II.
Pay scale:
Selected candidates will be paid between Rs 5,200 to Rs 20,200 with the grade pay of Rs 1,800.
