USA Student Creates History by Rejecting the University Rejection Letter

After so much hard work , its that time of the year when students starts to get letters from their colleges where they have applied . And it’s heartbreaking for the student when they get rejection letters from the university they really want to go towards.

But it takes guts to show the universities by writing a rejection letter to college rejection letter itself. Yes it’s daring and true , that was successfully done by North Carolina teen Siobhan O’ Dell who decided to fight back after being rejected from Duke University.

Siohan wrote a rejection letter stating that she is unable to accept the refusal to offer her admission into the Fall 2015 class of Duke University.

And this letter went viral when she posted on her Tumblr account which forced the Duke University to reconsider O’ Dell’s application .

However the Ivy status that these universities want to show , Duke University response went like this

“I understand how disappointed you are that we were unable to offer you a space in our incoming class. I want to be honest with you and let you know that it’s very rare that we learn something that leads us to change our decision. In the last ten years we’ve received about 500 requests for a review…and changed the decision four times.“

Well O’Dell posted on her Instagram account that she has been accepted to the University of South Carolina and that’s the great spirit shown by her.

So the morale of the story is one university rejection means its their bad and it’s not end of the life. Universities do provide quality education which you can get from a huge pool of good universities and at the end we would like to say Apply Wisely .
