UGC Has Launched Helpline Number And Email Id For Students. Students Now Can Lodge Their Grievances Related To Examinations And Other Academic Activities Arising Due To This Pandemic.
A week after releasing the guidelines and calendar for all universities, University Grants Commission, UGC has established a cell for handling grievances of the students. A helpline number and email for students has been launched by the Commission where students can lodge their grievances related to examinations and other academic activities arising due to this pandemic.
HRD Minister said, ” I have requested all universities to establish a Cell for handling grievances of the students related to examinations and other academic activities arising due to the COVID19 pandemic.”
Other than this, students can also lodge their grievances on the existing online students’ Grievance Redressal Portal of UGC. The Commission has shared a tweet in this regard that reads, “UGC issues Public Notice on Redressal of Grievances related to COVID-19 Pandemic. The grievances redressal cell will monitor the queries, grievances, and other academic matters of students, teachers, and institutions arising due to the COVID19 pandemic. In addition, the Commission has also constituted a Task Force to monitor concerns,/ grievances of students, teachers, and institutions, and redress them accordingly.
Furthermore, UGC has asked all the universities and colleges to upload a copy of the public notice on their official websites and also share it with the teaching and student community via email and other digital media for students and teachers.
In the newly released calendar, the University Examinations Would Begin in July and the admissions would be conducted in August. The guidelines also engulf universities’ academic sessions, exam modes, and teaching methods to be adopted in this pandemic situation.
