UGC NET 2020 Dates To Be Announced This Week: HRD Minister
UGC NET 2020 Dates Examination will be announced this week, said HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhrial’s on Thursday during his live interaction with students. Pokhriyal has clarified that the Dates for the UGC NET 2020 Exam will be announced in a day or two. Earlier, the examination was scheduled to be conducted between June 15 and 20 but had to postpone due to the outbreak of Covid 19 Pandemic and the Subsequent Lockdown.
“The decision on UGC NET June 2020 will be announced after consultation with the University Grants Commission (UGC) this week,” minister said during the interaction.
HRD Minister on Thursday addressed teachers in a webinar and answered their questions in the online interactive session.

NTA UGC NET 2020 Exam Dates in Few Days-HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Confirmed, Registration Date Extended to 31 May @ugcnet.nta.nic.in: On 14th May 2020 HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal addressed the queries online on the LIVE Video – ‘Acharya Devo Bhava’. UGC NET Teachers asked the question from Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal that, “When will the UGC NET 2020 New Exam Dates will be announced?” In reply, the Education Minister said that “In a day or two days a meeting will be conducted with UGC. After then, new dates will be decided and announced to the candidates at the earliest”. Candidates are curious to know the postponed dates of UGC NET June 2020 Exam which was earlier scheduled to be held from 15th June to 20th June 2020.
The Minister urged teachers to actively participate in #MyBookMyFriend‘ campaign and share their experiences with the HRD minister. The minister also appreciated teachers for their hard work during the lockdown to help students navigate the challenges of online education.
The NTA UGC- NET June 2020 Examination is scheduled to be held from June 15 to 20. However, there are speculations that the examination can be postponed due to the Covid19 coronavirus pandemic.
Candidates who have applied for NTA UGC-NET June examination 2020 are eagerly waiting to know the dates of examination amid Lockdown due to Coronavirus disease outbreak in the country.
The HRD minister was addressing the students’ queries through a webinar on Twitter and Facebook on Monday. However, the minister said that it is possible to conduct some examinations after June 15 if the situation normalises.
The NTA UGC NET June 2020 Examination is scheduled to be held from June 15 to 20. However, there are speculations that the examination can be postponed due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
“We will announce the Dates of UGC NET and other exams in a few days. The exams are possible to be conducted anytime after June. However, some exams can be conducted after June 15 if the situation normalises. We will decide and announce the dates accordingly,” the minister said. He also advised the candidates to utilise the lockdown period properly for preparation of the coming exams.
National Testing Agency had started the registration process for UGC- NET Exam on March 16 and was scheduled to end on April 16. However, the registration deadline has been postponed till May 15 due to the hardships faced by the candidates in online registration due to the coronavirus pandemic.
NTA conducts the UGC-NET Exam for ‘Assistant Professor’ and for ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor. The test consists of two papers. Both the papers will be conducted in single three hour duration. The exam will be in computer based test mode.
