University Grants Commission has extended the last date to apply for UGC Scholarship 2020 till November 30, 2020. All the interested students can apply for a scholarship program for various PG courses through–scholarships.gov.in. Also, the candidates can have a look at the official notice available on ugc.ac.in.

UGC Scholarship 2020: Check Details
- UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship 2020: This scholarship was launched for North Eastern Region from academic session 2014-15. The objective of this scholarship includes providing equal opportunities for higher studies, increase the Gross Enrolment Ratio, focus more on professional education and optimum utilization of NER Budgetary Allocation in the North East region.
- UGC Single Girl Child Scholarship 2020: UGC has introduced a Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child with an aim to compensate direct costs of girl education to all levels especially for such girls who happen to be the only girl child in their family.
- UGC PG Rank Holders Scholarship: This scholarship is for undergraduate rank holders. The awardees, under this scheme, can pursue their Postgraduate programme in any area of specialization in any institution of higher learning in the country. The First and Second Rank holders at the undergraduate level and admitted in any Postgraduate Course would be awarded the scholarship.
- UGC SC ST Scholarship: The scheme has been initiated keeping in view the social background of the candidates from the deprived section of the society and to provide them the opportunity to undertake postgraduate level studies in Professional subjects like Engineering & Technology, Management, Pharmacy etc. in Indian Universities/Institutions/ Colleges.
As per the official notice released by the Commission, the last date for verification of applications by Institutions of students including re-submission of defective applications will be done till December 15, 2020. Moreover, eligible institutions are also advised to verify the applications of their students immediately after receiving the applications on Portal.
