UGC Scholarship/Fellowship Scheme Changes: Effective From 1st October 2019, See Guidelines Here
UGC Scholarship Scheme Changes: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has been disbursing scholarship/fellowship under various schemes through online system developed by Canara Bank which is integrated with Public Financial Management System (PFMS) platform for payments through DBT mode.
The payments to the awardees are generated automatically on the portal for all awardees linked by Universities/Institutions based on monthly confirmation of candidates by the concerned University/ Institutions on the designated web portal https://scholarship.canarabank.in/.
In this regard, the User Institutions including ‘Makers’ and ‘Checkers’ may note the following:
1. It has been decided to implement the OTP based login w.e.f. October 1, 2019. Therefore, user institutions (Maker and Checker) may invariably ensure that their correct mobile number is entered on the portal before October 1, 2019.
2. Exception marking facility has been enabled for certain parameters to upload/update data in exceptional cases. For this Institution is required to mark ‘Exception’ in the portal and UGC will consider to approve it.
After approval, institution will be able to upload the data of the concerned beneficiary. The ‘Exception Marking Facility’ for following parameters has been released:
(a) Maximum period allowed for linking after date of result/cut off date.
