Generally for the student there is F-1 Student Visa or J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa
A straight forward process:
- Receive your I-20 (F-1) or DS-2019 (J-1) from the US University
- Complete SEVIS application (I-901) and pay fee
- Complete visa application and pay fee
- Schedule an interview at the US Embassy in respective country
In interview process for Student visa, one should reflect that he/she is a student, and want to go USA to study, and no other purpose.
