Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC CHSL exam 2018-19 recruitment exam official notification and as per the latest notification, SSC has changed the selection process a bit. According to the notification, the final selected list of candidates will include three stages. A candidate needs to clear objective test followed by a descriptive test and then skill test in order to grab the post in SSC CHSL 2018-19.
SSC CHSL Tier 1 will take place from 1st July to 26th July 2019 in multiple slots. SSC has officially released SSC CHSL recruitment notification 2019 for the post of LDC, JSA, PA/SA, DEO, & DEO Grade “A‟. The SSC CHSL online application has been closed on 5th April 2019.

Selection Process of SSC CHSL 2018-19
The candidates who want to appear for the SSC CHSL 2018-19, you need to know the selection procedure of SSC CHSL. You can easily prepare for your exam if you are well-versed with the selection procedure of SSC CHSL.
Let’s look at some of the important points of SSC CHSL exam before moving ahead with the selection process of SSC CHSL exam. The important points are as follows:
- SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam will be an objective based exam and of 60 minutes duration in online mode.
- SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam is a descriptive paper having 1 Letter and 1 Essay of 50 marks each.
- SSC CHSL Tier 3 Exam is skill/typing test
- There will be no section-wise cut-off for the SSC CHSL Exam 2018-19.
SSC CHSL 2018-19 Tier 1
SSC CHSL Tier 1 is a compulsory objective exam for all the job profiles. The total marks for this Tier are 200 marks and the marks obtained in this Tier will be added in the final merit list of SSC CHSL 2018-19. You need to clear the SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam in order to appear for SSC CHSL Tier 2. The major change in exam pattern of SSC CHSL exam is that time duration has been reduced to 60 minutes from 75 minutes.

Note: The penalty of every wrong attempt will lead to deduction of 0.25 marks. The SSC CHSL Syllabus Tier 1 is divided into 4 sections.
SSC CHSL 2018-19 Tier 2
This paper is only for those candidates who are able to secure more than the cut-off marks in SSC CHSL Tier 1. The descriptive Paper in SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam and the exam will be offline based. The exam pattern for the same is as follows:

Note: The word-limit for the Essay will be 200-250 words.
In order to qualify this section, you need to score minimum 33% of the marks. Furthermore, the marks obtained in this Tier will also be calculated in preparing the final merit list of SSC CHSL 2018-19.
SSC CHSL 2018-19 Tier 3
Tier 3 will test your Typing skills and is qualifying in nature. The Test will be of 15 minutes and candidates need to type 2000-2200 strokes/key depressions. The speed of typing in MS Office will also be tested. Typing Test will be conducted only in Hindi/English.
The Typing Test of SSC CHSL Tier 3 will be of qualifying in nature and will be administered on the Computer. 35 words per minute and 30 words per minute, corresponding to 10500 key depressions per hour/9000 key depressions per hour respectively will be tested in the exam.
Final Allotment in SSC CHSL 2018-19
The final merit list of successful candidates will be determined on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidates in Tier I and Tier II exam. Furthermore, candidates will be allotted to the various departments for the post of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators, Lower Divisional Clerks and Court Clerks on the basis of the merit and preference of profile in SSC CHSL exam 2018-19.
Resolution of Tie Cases
In case, two or more candidates obtain the same marks in SSC CHSL exam, then tie breaking rules will be applicable. The tie cases will be resolved by applying one after another, till the Tie is resolved.
- Total Marks obtained in Tier 1 and Tier 2.
- Total marks in Tier 2 SSC CHSL Examination.
- Total marks in Tier 1 SSC CHSL Examination.
- Date of birth, with older candidates, will be preferred.
- Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear will be given preference.
