- It’s Day 2, 40% of Gargi seats gone
With just two days completed in the admission process, Gargi College and Miranda House have already filled up 40% and 25% of their seats, respectively .Shri Ram College of Commerce also filled up 310 of its BCom (H) seats on Friday and, after a tepid Day 1, Maitreyi College, too, saw around 500 admission-seekers. The pace picked up across colleges as most -but not all -of the snags seen on the opening day appeared to have been resolved.

As admissions on second day after the first cutoff list slowed down and seats remained vacant across courses, Delhi University aspirants can expect the minimum marks required to come down in the second list to be announced on July 4.
- DU’s Ramjas College keeps cut-off high, only 27 students registered on first day
After the first cut-off list was released on Wednesday, the DU students faced difficulty while uploading admissions slips, leading to a website crash on day one of the admissions. Ramjas College, one of the well-known colleges of the university, has registered only 27 seats on the very first day.
This year, the highest percentage for Ramjas College has gone up to 98.7 per cent for B.Com and 98.5 per cent for Economic (Hons).

- Delhi University releases tentative schedule for admissions
A tentative schedule was released by Delhi University for ECA admissions. The same was announced on Friday, July 1, 2016. However, the site remained down for most of the time then. There is no particular note on definite schedule and colleges where the trial will be held.
- DU cut off: Second list likely to be declared on Monday by top colleges
After the admissions process of the first cut off list completed on Saturday, the top colleges of Delhi University are likely to declare the second cut off list on Monday, July 4.
- SRCC: 80 per cent seats taken up by students from Tamil Nadu
So far, about 75 to 80 per cent of students who have got an admission in the esteemed Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) of the University of Delhi are from Tamil Nadu.
According to college sources, the first two days of admission has witnessed a large number of students taking admission in one of the most sought after colleges in India for commerce education, from Kerala.

Delhi University’s South Campus colleges seem to be giving a tough competition to colleges in North Campus as general category students have already filled up seats for most of the South Campus colleges in the first cut-off list itself.
