Delhi University’s Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB), which offers courses exclusively for women, will admit an extra 5,700 students from this academic session.

NCWEB offers two undergraduate courses and is preferred by students who want to go for professional courses.

• The NCWEB, which has around 6,000 seats and 13 DU colleges as its centres, will now open 12 new centres.
• This means the NCWEB will now have 1,1700 seats in 25 colleges.
• The new centres are Aditi Mahavidyalaya College, Aryabhatta College, BR Ambedkar College, Bhagini Nivedita College, College of Vocational Studies, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Miranda House, Motilal Nehru College, Rajdhani College, Ramanujan College and Aurobindo College.

• NCWEB admits female students from the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi and conducts classes only on Sundays. “We are adding around 5,700 seats to our undergraduate courses. This will help in providing higher education to more girls, who cannot join regular colleges,” said Anju Gupta, officiating director NCWEB.
• NCWEB, which only offers two undergraduate courses, is preferred by students who want to go for professional courses such as diploma while pursuing an undergraduate degree to become more employable by the end of three year, said Anju Gupta.

Guideline for NCWEB UG Admission 2016 

• Non-collegiate students are, however, not allowed to pursue any other full-time degree course.
• “Women students get enough time to pursue professional courses and even do regular jobs as they are free for six days a week. Our classes happen only on Sunday, so these students can do career enhancement courses on weekdays,” Gupta added.
• NCWEB will come out with the first cut-off list out on July 15 and admissions will take place for the next three days. The second cutoff will come out on July 20.

HANDBOOK OF INFORMATION FOR POST-GRADUATE AND UNDER-GRADUATE COURSES 2016-2017 

• NCWEB of fers BA (programme) and B.Com courses for undergraduate students. The application process for NCWEB is the same as DU.
• Students will have to submit their original certificates at the time of admission. The annual fee would be approximately ` 3,500 per year. However, no fee will be charged from Persons with Disability (PwD) students.
