Several issues have cropped up as Delhi University undergraduate aspirants tried to register online.
The authorities said that in case a mistake is noticed in a submitted form, aspirants should register again from another email account. A form with wrong information can result in denial of admission.
“Only one registration is allowed per email account. The candidate should double-check each section and fill up all the options,“ said Gurpreet Tuteja, deputy dean of students’ welfare, Delhi University.
If candidates don’t have their Class XII marksheets, they should upload self-attested copies that were downloaded at the time of declaration of the results. The original can be furnished at the time of admission. While most Boards have declared the Class XII results, many candidates are yet to receive their original marksheets.
Some aspirants who tried to register under the ECA category complained that they could only upload one certificate for each specialisation.Kirti Ranjan, OSD admissions, DU, clarified the process: “Candidates just need to upload the certificate for the highest-level achieved. If they have more than one certificate of the same level, then they should upload the most recent one. It should not be post March 31, 2016.“
Another query raised was regarding the certificate number required in the form under the ECA category . Officials said in case of a certificate without a number, the candidate should mention the date when it was issued, or leave it blank.
